The countdown is on to Northern Ireland’s only two-day Hill Climb weekend. The most sought-after event on the Motorsport Supplies Northern Ireland Hill Climb Championship is less than a week away. The action-packed weekend of Motorsport commences at lunch on Friday 23rd June before the second day wrapping up the action around dinner time.
Larne Motor Club are delighted to continue partnerships with Laird Grass Machinery, Carey Cleaning Machines, APW Fire, Hawthorne Motors, Practical Car and Van Hire (Larne) and Mid & East Antrim Council who provide an action-packed programme which will thrill motor enthusiasts and families alike. A vast selection of motorsport cars and talented drivers will descend upon the East Antrim village of Cairncastle as they race to the top.
The Ballycoose Road sets the scene of the longest Hill Climb in the UK, at 1.6 miles long and with great views of the Larne coastline and provides access to the paddock area where visitors get to see the cars and drivers up close.
Jonathan, Cairncastle Hill Climb’s Clerk of the Course, said: “It’s an exciting time that we as a club look forward to, and are ready for this great spectacle of an action-packed event. We have over eighty drivers so far ready to conquer the hill”.
